Modesto Bee’s “Proven Vote-Getters” trust Magsig to deliver for Stanislaus County

MODESTO, CALIF. – Nathan Magsig, Fresno County Supervisor and candidate for the new 5th Congressional District, is proud to announce that he has secured the support of three top Republican leaders in Stanislaus County:

  • Stanislaus County Supervisor Vito Chiesa
  • California State Senator Anthony Cannella (Ret.)
  • California Assembly GOP Leader, Stanislaus County Supervisor, and California Republican Party Vice Chair Kristin Olsen (Ret.)

Stanislaus County is the single-largest county in the newly-drawn 5th Congressional district, encompassing 38% of the electorate in the new district.

Each of the three local leaders were referenced in a January The Modesto Bee column as “proven vote-getters… who know and love” Stanislaus County.

Here’s why they trust Nathan Magsig to fight for Stanislaus County in Congress, representing the 5th District:

“Nathan Magsig has demonstrated a commitment to Stanislaus County and willingness to stand up for our community,” Olsen said. “In Congress, he won’t just hear our voice, he’s prepared to be our voice.”

“Voters in Modesto and Turlock deserve a Congressman who will fight for them and deliver common sense solutions to our region’s biggest problems – from lowering the cost of living to increasing our water supplies,” Cannella said. “In my mind, there’s only one choice: Nathan Magsig.”

“As a fellow County Supervisor, we need a strong partner in Washington who will ensure that Stanislaus County isn’t left behind,” Chiesa said. “I’m supporting Nathan Magsig because he intimately knows the issues and has practical, straight-forward solutions to help improve the quality of life here.”

Magsig issued the following statement regarding the endorsements from these Stanislaus County leaders:

“I’m honored and humbled to have the support of Supervisor Chiesa, Senator Cannella, and Leader Olsen. Together, they have delivered considerable results for the residents of Stanislaus County in various posts, both locally and in Sacramento. I am excited to keep that Stanislaus County tradition of responsive, effective leadership in Washington as our Congressman.”
